Some Machine Head inspired art.

Going to see them on Feb.4 2012 at The Palladium in Worchester, MA.

Based off of Machinehead’s newest album, “Unto the Locust” was the ongoing theme here, as the album delivers some utterly ferocious and bleak harmonics I wanted to leave my final interpretation of the lyrics.

A chorus line that particularly caught me:

We build cathedrals to our pain,
Establish monuments to attain,
Freedom from all of the scars and the sins,
Lest, we drown in the darkness within.

I know this is some pretty heavy and morose shit, but the idea of a cathedral literally emerging from your body and being devoured by the apocalyptic swarm of locusts was just too enticing.
